About the project
The Project Plan
Our goal is to serve the Muslim community without discrimination and correct misconceptions about Islam. We secured a 2,065 m² site, including a mosque and educational spaces. With €1,000,000 needed for renovations, your support ensures a lasting charitable impact
Comprehensive Project Overview
The new Islamic center spans over 2,000 m², featuring prayer halls, classrooms, a library, and community facilities. The total renovation cost is €1,000,000, divided into 2,000 shares, each representing 1 m² at €500 per share, ensuring a sustainable future for the community.

Why CLZ needs a new mosque?
Friday Prayers
The mosque in Clausthal is overcrowded during Friday prayers. Worshippers often wait on the stairs and outside the building. Due to limited space, some leave after the prayer hall reaches capacity, even during the call to prayer. This issue persists despite holding two Friday prayer sessions each week.
Eid Prayers
The mosque is too small to accommodate Clausthal’s worshippers during Eid, let alone visitors from nearby cities. Efforts to reserve sports fields are hindered by bad weather or university bookings. When no suitable space is available, prayers are held in up to seven shifts. The last Eid attracted around 800 worshippers.
School Activities
The children’s school uses the daily prayer hall, leading to noise and distractions. Limited space prevents accommodating more age groups or creating additional classrooms. The current setup, where multiple classes run simultaneously, creates an environment that is challenging for both teachers and students, hampering the learning experience.
